This device is more effective than I imagined. I receive Acupuncture monthly from my Dr. to treat Chronic Pain due to Rheumatoid, Neuropathy, and Fibromyalgia, and he strongly advises his patients to purchase a pen for daily use. However, I took a chance with this particular brand/model bcuz of the 5 heads and my pain was alleviated immediately. After only 2 days of usage I’m hooked!
The various levels of tingling sensation that distorts the signal to the nerve, works very much like a tens unit does. This is better in that you can pinpoint where you want the sensation to go and not have to have to different gel pads, leads and tens unit to do the job for a small specific area. To receive heightened sensation, I use Aloe Vera gel, which is conductive and moisturizing at the same time; you don't have to wipe it off but you get the stronger current you are seeking. Yes, you may feel a sensation between your finger that is holding the pen; but remember any current type of stimulation needs a ground and you have to find a spot that doesn't give you as much sensation when holding the pen. As always seek medical advice in regards to this type of item, as it is an individualized decision.
I have fibromyalgia and I used this on a lot of trigger points and it melted them right away. It does sting a little but it works great. This is a wonderful product I ordered another one for my mom and one for my daughter.

I do have to say, I had some wrist pain after being on the computer so I set this to 1 and massaged the area and the pain was gone 👍. I got this for my husband who has elbow pain, I can’t say anything for him but it’s an interesting device. I don’t use it higher than one but he’s had it on 3 on his neck and it’s crazy 😄, he gets this spot that makes his whole shoulder and arm jump like crazy. I didn’t know about these devices until recently but it’s neat to have (and cheap) so worth it I guess. I also use this when I have some knee pain and I believe it eases the ache. Oh one thing, I have nerve damage in my leg (epidural gone bad) and I tried it on that area and it HURT 😬 so I just don’t recommend that.
